What Is Up With The Seams On My Silk Sheets?
When you get your first set of silk sheets, you are going to notice something that you may not have seen before. You'll notice some seams that run down the center of the sheet and run length wise. But there is a good reason for this and if you absolutely hate them, you can do something about it.
The seams on mulberry silk sheets are there because the looms that weave the silk fabric are only 140 cm wide. That means they are well to small to fit across out huge beds. So they have to be pieced together to make a sheet that will fit the bed.
However, if you hate seams, there is a such thing as a seamless silk sheet. These have no seams running down the middle. They cost a little more and the number of colors that you could get are not always available, but they are really great sheets.
